Training

The cost effective design and management of EHV substation projects requires a professional partnership between client and supplier. Unless each partner fully appreciates the standards and procedures of the other, the project will not meet it objectives efficiently. Power System Projects Ltd. are able to offer training on a wide range of related subjects and procedures from Project Management principles and design management procedures through to commissioning. 

DNO Self-build partnerships

As more Distribution Network Operators opt to "self-build" their 132 kV connection assets, Power System Projects Ltd. can work with the DNO and their contractor to conformance check the designs and processess for National Grid compliance. This is especially beneficial if the contractor has limited experience of working with National Grid Technical Specifications and Transmission Procedures.

Effective design management, especially when introduced at the planning phase of a project, is one facet of any successful project. Generator Connections to Transmission substations

Generators who require connections at transmission voltages (400 and 275kV) are required to design and procure their own connection to the substation. Power System Projects Ltd. can advise on the best course of action to attain this connection and can facilitate the design and project management of the connection works to the substation.
